Professional development workshops, philanthropic initiatives, sisterhood activities - you name it! We focus on holding and participating in events that are meaningful experiences and help our sisters develop skills and connections for the future! We understand that, as engineers and technical science majors, our sisters have busy schedules, so putting an emphasis on making each event and activity impactful is a priority.
We are all engineers and technical science majors, and we all need to conduct ourselves in a professional manner. Through workshops and initiatives organized by our Professional Committee, we've learned everything from how to craft a resume for a specific opportunity to perfecting our first impressions for recruiters and other professionals.
Our communities have given so much to us, everything from education to public parks, so it's time for us to give back. We plan outreach initiatives for the local Ithaca area, either through community service or organizing our own events. Each recruitment class chooses a different philanthropic arc to be their focal point for the semester and that semester's philanthropic initiatives.
We all come from different backgrounds, grew up in different places, and study different majors. This sorority is a chance for us to all bond together, despite those differences, as fellow women in STEM. Studying for finals, attending campus events, celebrating holidays and special occassions, and even just hanging out: these are all different ways that the sisterhood of AΩE develops.
